Aaron Asis

was born and raised in New York City exploring its neighborhoods, its people, and its streets. Over the years these explorations evolved from personal curiosities to a creative mission committed to promoting access & awareness of under-appreciated environments throughout our cities.

As an artist my life has been dedicated to connecting people with the environments we all live in — to encourage curiosity, increase awareness, and empower authentic exchange – through the creation of site-specific artworks in unexpected places.  My work is fully collaborative and always public — working with community groups, non-profit organizations, and government agencies to exhibit work outside of art spaces — to create site-specific installations, multi-disciplinary community events, and documentary style films.  The creative intent for this work is to accentuate overlooked aspects of our everyday lives — to inspire new ideas, create unique experiences, and generate public opportunities for us to all explore, learn, and share through the arts!

When we create works of art, we create new ways to connect to each other and new ways to experience the world — and that is what we all need right now"
